"Omeza and Balloon" Hot Air Balloon Experience & Breakfast Festival Vol. 9

An early-morning event in Saga City, known as the "City of Balloons," offering an opportunity to experience hot air balloons firsthand. A tethered balloon boarding experience and breakfast event—held on a more compact scale than the Saga International Balloon Fiesta—will take place at Dondondon Forest. The word "omeza" in the event title traditionally refers to "a sweet treat eaten upon waking up," but here it is not limited to sweets; the concept is to "enjoy morning activities" within the pleasant, greenery-surrounded atmosphere of Dondondon Forest. The tethered balloon flights will be conducted using 2 hot air balloons, open to the first 200 participants on the day on a first-come, first-served basis (no advance reservation). The boarding fee is 1,500 yen for elementary school students and older, and free for preschoolers (must be accompanied by a guardian). Depending on event conditions, an "Exterior Balloon Envelope Experience" may also be held, allowing visitors to touch and step onto the envelope fabric of a real balloon. At the breakfast festival, vendors will sell various breakfast menus under the theme of "Our Omeza." It is an event offering a special experience to enjoy a delicious breakfast while watching balloons in the clear early-morning air.
