Insect Night Wonderland: Hands-on! Dark Insect Exhibition

Supervised for the first time by insect hunter Shu Makita, the powered-up insect exhibition 'Insect Night Wonderland: Hands-on! Dark Insect Exhibition' will be held at the Mifune Dinosaur Museum in Kumamoto Prefecture. This summer, rare insects from around the world gather in the town of dinosaurs, featuring live exhibits of about 20 species, including the king of the insect world, the Hercules beetle, and the Giraffa stag beetle. You can enjoy an experiential exhibition searching for insects that appear one after another as you walk in the dark. In addition, special talks by insect hunter Shu Makita will be held during the exhibition period, where you can hear about insects encountered in the dark around the world and collecting techniques for finding nocturnal insects.
