About this event
'SUNDAY FARMSTAND' is a farmers' market held on the second Sunday of each month from June to October. Producers, primarily farmers from across the prefecture, gather on the promenade next to Niji-no-Mato in Hirosaki City. In a small space of about 100 meters, importance is placed on vendors and customers meeting face-to-face to sell and directly hand over products. Through this, the market aims to allow customers to bring home not just the produce, but the story behind each item to their dining tables. Since harvesting seasons differ for each vegetable and fruit, vendors change every month so that seasonal produce can be delivered at its peak season, and even the same vendor offering different items each time is part of the fun. You can directly hear from farmers about tips on choosing delicious produce, their dedicated cultivation methods, and tasty recipes. In addition to agricultural produce, sweets, drinks, and plants to brighten everyday life are also on sale. You can also join a stamp rally to get prizes. Its charm lies in the small, cozy, home-like atmosphere and the close distance between vendors and customers. Serving as a place connecting fields and town, it is an event that makes you want to return every month once you visit. Why not buy fresh vegetables directly from local farmers once a month?
