6th Hirosaki Meister Exhibition

About this event

To improve awareness and revitalize the techniques and industries of "Hirosaki Meisters"—skilled artisans and technicians certified by Hirosaki City—the "6th Hirosaki Meister Exhibition" will be held. At the venue, exhibitions introducing the profiles and skills of 49 meisters will be presented, along with demonstrations and hands-on workshops featuring superior craft techniques. A wide variety of hands-on corners will be set up, including Tsugaru lacquerware spoon polishing, gold-fish Neputa and Tsugaru kite painting, traditional Tsugaru kumiko latticework crafting, autumn nerikiri sweet making, Christmas swag crafting, and non-alcoholic cocktail making. While reservations are required for some workshops, it is a valuable opportunity to experience Hirosaki's renowned master craftsmanship up close. Admission is free, but participation fees apply for the crafting workshops at each booth.
