About this event
Aomori Prefectural Museum and the Inakadate Village Board of Education will hold the "Aomori Prefectural Museum Special Mobile Museum" at the Inakadate Village Museum. In honor of the "Horse," the zodiac animal of 2026, folk tools and equestrian gear such as paintings and decorative saddles from the prefectural museum's collection will be exhibited. In particular, this is a rare opportunity to view "Honba-zu" (Running Horse) painted by Jiyo Nozawa, which is being shown to the public for the first time in Japan. Visitors can closely appreciate horse-related historical materials while experiencing local history and culture. In addition, workshops to try making miniature earthenware will be held. The workshops are free of charge, with registration limited to around 10 participants per session. On October 31, there will be three sessions at 13:30, 14:30, and 15:30. On November 1, there will be three sessions at 10:30, 11:30, and 13:30. The exhibition hours are from 13:00 to 16:00 on October 31, and from 10:00 to 15:00 on November 1.
