About this event
Fujisaki Town is hosting the "Fujisaki Town Newcomer Exchange Event" for recent transplants to the town as well as those considering moving or relocating here. This exchange event is a special tour where participants ride around the town in a jumbo taxi, experiencing Fujisaki's food, culture, and human connections all in one go. Why not enjoy interacting with fellow participants while chatting with earlier newcomers and trying your hand at harvesting apples? On the day of the event, you will take on an apple-harvesting experience at the Genboku Park—unique to the birthplace of the Fuji apple—with support from the local walking tour group "Fuji Sampo no Kai." You will also tour a museum exploring apple history and culture, savor delicious cold apple ice cream while watching a close-up "Ohayashi musical accompaniment performance" by the Fujisaki Town Performing Arts and Cultural Association, and conclude the tour with a lunch networking gathering at "home TABLE," where you might hear authentic stories about life after moving from the shop owner. Gather around a delicious lunch and talk candidly about post-relocation living concerns and how to enjoy the town. This event is recommended for those who have just moved and want to make local friends and acquaintances, as well as those who want to discover Fujisaki Town's charm and meet wonderful local community players.
