A classic summer event in Izumi Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, held at Yamaichi Sustena Park Nanakita Park. Packed with visitors, it features stage performances, hands-on activity booths, and stalls. The festival concludes with approximately 3,300 fireworks launched into the sky, brilliantly coloring the summer night in Izumi. Packed with programs enjoyable for both children and adults—such as stage presentations and exhibitions by citizens, lantern making, sweetfish (ayu) catching, mini train rides, and an array of food and drink booths—it also features many events involving local residents and organizations. It is a signature summer tradition where people of all generations can interact and experience the vibrant local charm.
