About this event
Held in Taiwa-cho, Miyagi Prefecture, the "272nd Taiwa Marugoto Market" is bustling as a local festival. Three highlight events are featured this time: the "Grand Lottery," "BINGO Game," and "Blade Sharpening Corner." In the "Grand Lottery," by collecting receipts from participating shops and making purchases at the venue, you have a chance to win "fresh Pacific saury" in the drawing. You can collect receipts from participating shops starting April 1, with one lottery draw for every 3,000 yen spent (up to 5 draws per person). To participate in the lottery, a special lottery ticket received upon shopping at the venue is required. Customers who purchase 300 yen or more will be presented with a special lottery ticket. In the "BINGO Game," various prizes including in-season "pears," a taste of autumn, will be given away. Participation is free, limited to the first 100 people, and it starts at 11:45. Anyone holding a BINGO card distributed 5 minutes prior can participate. The "Blade Sharpening Corner" will be held from 9:30 to 12:30 (reception open until 12:00), reviving this regular event for one day only. You can have blades sharpened for 200 yen per item (up to 2 items per person). In addition, a "Vascular Age Measurement Event" will be held inside the Yoshioka-shuku Honjin Information Center with the cooperation of Meiji Yasuda. It is a free checkup that determines vascular age simply by placing a finger on a sensor, scheduled from 10:00 to 12:00. Furthermore, various vendor stalls and a local products corner will be set up to entertain visitors.
