5th Kaminoyama Shiokaze Cultural Festival

Held once a year on Culture Day at Kaminoyama Hachimangu Shrine in Minamisanriku Town, Miyagi Prefecture, the "5th Kaminoyama Shiokaze Cultural Festival" is a handmade cultural festival where local residents play the leading role amidst a Showa retro atmosphere. Diverse performances such as puppet theater, shamisen, and Ogiri comedy will be presented at the Kagura stage. Unique small shops and exhibits line various spots across the shrine grounds, and visitors can also enjoy interacting with goats. It will be a heartwarming day where visiting guests can encounter a colorful variety of culture and foster warm interactions. This event is also held as part of "Satoumi Satoyama WEEKs 2026."
