About this event
"Aizu Jimono Festival 2026," held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Smart City AiCT and Kitademaru-dori in Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, is a free-admission event where visitors can experience the "now" and "future" of Aizu. Diverse content that parents and children can enjoy together is available, ranging from food, traditional crafts, and agriculture to cutting-edge digital technology. At experience booths where participants can have fun learning about new careers and technologies such as programming, design, and AI, children can gain learning for the future while connecting with Aizu's roots. Furthermore, visitors can touch Aizu's rich food, agriculture, and traditional crafts, deepening their appreciation through interactions with makers. Programs to feel the festival rhythm and enjoy dancing are also planned, and at the "Sticker Rally" where participants collect original stickers across the venue, they can try a Garapon lottery based on the number of stickers gathered. Planned and promoted by students with local community support, this festival will be a day to experience the charm of Aizu and create the region's future together with the next generation. Some experiences, food/drinks, and merchandise are available for a fee.
