Mokuiku Caravan in Oyama

About this event

"Mokuiku Caravan in Oyama" is an event aimed at cultivating a rich mindset to learn about wood and take thoughtful action toward caring for nature by engaging with nature and wood, open to everyone from children to adults. Renting domestic wooden toys and other items from the Association of Toy and Play Creation, the event is held in Oyama City as a traveling edition of the Tokyo Toy Museum. Tokyo Toy Museum staff and "Toy Consultants," who hold specialized certifications in toys, will also participate to offer opportunities to interact with wooden toys. Around 200 wooden toys will be available at the venue for visitors to freely pick up and play with. If you do not know how to play with a toy, a Toy Consultant will assist you. Admission is free, no advance reservation is required, and visitors can enter and leave freely, making it easy to drop by. Shoes are prohibited inside the venue, so please bring slippers or similar footwear as needed. In the toy area, visitors will take off their indoor shoes to play.
