About this event
Held in Moka City, Tochigi Prefecture, 'SL Festa 2026' is a railway event presented by Moka Railway and the SL Kyuroku Museum. The event is packed with activities that anyone—not just railway enthusiasts—can enjoy, including special steam locomotive (SL) runs, ride experiences on a mini train (Moka 14 series), and a rock-paper-scissors tournament with Mokapyon. In addition, the KiHa 20 ride experience (fee applies) offers a rare chance to ride an actual train car. Various railway companies will also gather at the venue, making it a full day to savor the charms of railways. Powerful presentations such as collaborative whistle blowing and the D51 freight car coupling are also key highlights. Food trucks will be on site, making it an event you can enjoy all day long.
