About this event
Held to commemorate the 31st National Hotoku Summit Moka City Conference, this memorable inaugural event succeeds the Moka Igashira Marathon, moving its venue to Moka Hitora Athletic Park. The three courses of 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km are flat and designed for runners aiming for fast personal records. In particular, the 10 km course turns around at the park adjacent to the Sakuramachi Jinya ruins associated with Sontoku Ninomiya. Three members of GgoatRT, alumni of the Komazawa University Track and Field Team, will participate as pace advisors to support runners. All participants will receive a participation prize, and T-shirts will be sent in advance to elementary/junior high school students and the general division. In the parent-child division, medals will be handed directly to children at the goal on the day. Finisher certificates can be checked and printed online. Awards will be given to the top finishers (up to 8th place) in each category, along with lucky spot prizes (tobisho) and municipal anniversary number prizes. Sightseeing spots are also scattered around the area, including Moka Hitora Athletic Park, the Sontoku Ninomiya Museum, Takadasan Senshu-ji Temple, and the Moka Railway where steam locomotives run.
