About this event
The Doll Town Iwatsuki Festival marks a commemorative year celebrating its 50th anniversary. At this event, the original dance 'Tsuki Tsuki Iwatsuki' supervised by SAM will be unveiled for the first time; as a dance that anyone can join in, spontaneous participation on the day is very welcome. In addition, the children's portable shrine carrying experience is open to participants from 3 years old through junior high school students, with souvenirs prepared for the first 200 children on a first-come, first-served basis. A Manto Mikoshi Revival Ceremony will also be held, where you can witness the powerful comeback of the adult portable shrine. A choreography video for the Iwatsuki Citizen Ondo has also been released, allowing attendees to learn and dance together to liven up the venue even further before the festival. Typically, diverse events such as children's mikoshi, a doll costume parade, a jumbo doll tier stand, and a Kuroyakko procession are held, making it a festival where you can fully experience the charms of Iwatsuki.
