About this event

A performance by Company Derashinera, led by Shuji Onodera, depicting Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale 'The Emperor's New Clothes' using physical expression alone without any dialogue. It is a work that can be enjoyed by everyone from 3-year-old children to adults, featuring highlights such as analog mechanisms where various props come to life and stage expressions that summon invisible things through imagination. The main performance running time is approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes (about 65 minutes). After the performance, a free, no-reservation-required 'Mime Experience & Stage Tour' will be held, where participants can enjoy trying pantomime and viewing large stage sets and props. This performance provides an opportunity to reflect with the audience on how to respond to absurdity. As viewing support, booster seat cushions (first 50 people) and a parent-child room behind glass at the back of the auditorium (2 rooms / approx. 2 people per room) are also available.
