The 46th Sayama City Commerce and Industry Festival

The 46th Sayama City Commerce and Industry Festival will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the Sayama Station West Exit Civic Plaza. It will run from 9:30 to 14:30, taking place in light rain but canceled in case of severe weather. The venue will feature a wide variety of activities, including food, beverage, and merchandise booths by local businesses and shops, a fluffy inflatable slide, capsule toy sales, and appearances by Sayama City's Tanabata fairy, Oripī. In addition, there is a packed schedule including table magic, a free tasting of domestic beef, charity knife sharpening, and free distribution of sencha green tea and rice crackers. The concurrently held "Disaster Prevention Festa" will offer free servings of pork miso soup (tonjiru) cooked by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. At the lawn area, which was the previous venue, the "Traffic Safety Fair" will showcase patrol cars and host traffic safety quizzes. There is no visitor parking, so the use of public transportation is recommended.
