FY2026 JASDF Iruma Air Base SDF Day Commemorative Experience Flight

About this event

The "Fiscal Year 2026 Japan Air Self-Defense Force Iruma Air Base Self-Defense Forces Day Commemorative Event Experience Flight" will be held at JASDF Iruma Air Base in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture. At this event, participants can enjoy a valuable experience boarding a JASDF C-2 transport aircraft or a large CH-47J helicopter to fly over the airspace around Iruma Air Base. Advance application is required to participate, and a lottery will be held if applicants exceed capacity. Eligibility is open to Japanese nationals in the first grade of elementary school (age 6 and older) or above; elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian aged 18 or older. Applications can be made for up to 4 people per group, including the representative. Due to safety management reasons, individuals using wheelchairs, those using walking sticks/canes, and those requiring assistance cannot apply. On the day of the event, the meeting place will be the "Inariyama Gate," about a 5-minute walk from Inariyama-koen Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. Because there is no parking at the base, arriving by public transportation is recommended.
