About this event

Kuroyama Santaki is the collective name for three waterfalls: the two-tiered upper and lower Odaki (male waterfall) and Medaki (female waterfall) dropping into the Santaki River, a tributary of the Oppe River, and the Tengu Falls located slightly downstream. Selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Sightseeing Spots, it is a scenic location blessed with beautiful nature throughout the four seasons. During the autumn foliage season, peak viewing begins around late November, allowing visitors to enjoy touring the waterfalls beneath colorful autumn leaves. In particular, the autumn foliage and the waterfall viewed looking up from Meoto Bridge, situated just below Odaki and Medaki, are exceptionally beautiful. Well-maintained walking paths connect the three waterfalls, allowing visitors to enjoy autumn leaf viewing while taking in the sound of the falls. Admission is free, and parking is provided.
