The 'New Rice Week' featuring rice produced in Ogawa Town will be held for 6 days from Wednesday, October 7 to Monday (public holiday), October 12. Long-awaited freshly harvested rice from Ogawa Town will arrive, and the Ogawa Direct Sales Store will offer plenty of special perks during the period as the 'New Rice First Sale.' True to the tagline 'Buy new rice, get great value!', along with sales of freshly harvested Koshihikari and Sai-no-Kizuna rice, various giveaway gifts and point-multiplier campaigns are prepared. On October 7 and 8 only, free freshly harvested rice balls (onigiri) will be distributed, and visitors bringing a postcard will receive a gift of pickles, purchasers of 10 kg or more of rice will receive onions, and new Rice Card member registrations will receive pickles, among many other delightful benefits. Furthermore, Rice Card points will be tripled on the 3 weekdays and doubled on the 3 weekend/holiday days. Checkout discounts upon presenting a Papa-Mama Card, Ogawa Town Price Inflation Relief Gift Certificates, and special discounts when using a JA Card are also available. During the event period, sales of Higashimatsuyama's specialty 'yakitori,' Minamiboso Marutake Suisan's 'dried fish sales,' and limited-quantity sales of Oginoya's 'Toge no Kamameshi' are also scheduled, providing delicious culinary experiences perfect for the autumn appetite. It is a 6-day event to deliciously and affordably enjoy newly harvested rice grown in Ogawa Town.
