About this event

A festival centered around Iioka Coast, designated as one of "Japan's 100 Selected Beaches". The main highlight, the Seaside Fireworks Display, features dynamic, high-speed fireworks launched into the expansive coastal night sky. With no obstructions along the shore, spectators can enjoy dramatic starmines and ground fireworks from close range. Additionally, special starmines commemorating the 20th anniversary of Asahi City will be launched this year. Alongside the fireworks, a bazaar, stage shows, and evening stalls will add to the festivities. Festival hours are from 12:00 to 20:30, with the bazaar opening at 12:00, evening stalls at 15:00, stage shows and folk performance presentations at 15:00, and the mikoshi (portable shrine) procession at 17:30. The fireworks launch begins at 18:45, with approximately 5,000 fireworks scheduled. Reserved paid seating will be available for purchase in advance around early September. The event will be cancelled in the event of severe weather.
