About this event
'Abiko Machikatsu Fes 2026' is a festival of civic activities aimed at revitalizing the town and making it a better place to live. This year, a fundraising campaign using capsule toy machines will be held, allowing participants to contribute to the local community by turning handmade capsule toy machines crafted by executive committee members and volunteers. The event features a diverse range of programs, including projects to deepen international exchange, global communication, and understanding of diversity, 'Gokigen Parent-Child Community Activity Kickoff' for parents and children to enjoy, a plaza where people can interact across generations, and 'Learn About Abiko with Kappa'. Admission is free, but items sold by some shops and material fees may incur a charge. 'Abi Tickets' that can be used inside Keyaki Plaza during the event are also available and can be used when participating in paid events. These tickets are in units called 'Tega' named after Lake Teganuma, and can be exchanged starting from 50 yen = 50 Tega. Exchange locations are the Keyaki Hiroba reception desk or the Abiko Civic Activity Station on the 10th floor of Keyaki Plaza. This festival aims to provide various opportunities that serve as entry points to social contribution and foster attachment to the local community.
