📅 Tue, Nov 17, 2026
About this event
This is the 460th performance of "Tatsunakai," a Japanese classical dance research and recital event continuing since 1967. As a society researching classical dance across schools and presenting it on stage, its program features a combination of suodori (unadorned dance), costumed dance, and traditional Japanese music performances such as koto. This edition will be held at Nihonbashi Theater with free admission. It will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, with doors opening at 12:00, the performance starting at 12:30, and scheduled to end at 15:15. The program is scheduled to include suodori pieces "Kotobuki," "Kuruwa Hakkei," "Shiokumi," "Tamaya," "Shunju," and "Makasho," koto performances, and costumed dance pieces "Aki no Irokusa" and "Musume Dojoji Sho." It will be a valuable opportunity to experience the depth and tradition of Japanese classical dance.
