About this event
Yanaka is a town of temples and slopes that retains the atmosphere of an old-fashioned shitamachi downtown. At the main venue, Disaster Prevention Plaza 'Hatsune no Mori', musical instrument performances by local elementary and junior high schools and hero shows will take place on stage. In addition, numerous stalls set up by neighborhood associations, friendship cities, and partner cities will bring vibrant bustling energy. At the sub-venues, such as the Former Yoshidaya Sake Store and Yanaka Five-Story Pagoda Ruins Children's Plaza, enjoyable events including street performances will be held. At Yanaka Elementary School, food stalls run by the Daio Kindergarten PTA are also scheduled to open. Furthermore, mascot characters such as 'Yanaka ni Koi Nyan', 'Taito-kun', and 'Happy' will visit the venue to entertain attendees. As an event that deepens interaction among local residents and showcases the charm of Yanaka, this festival is crowded with many people every year.
