About this event
"RUN-TOMO Nakano 2026" is a community exchange event aimed at deepening understanding of dementia. People with dementia, their families, supporters, and general local residents unite to tour the ward in a relay format while passing along a sash (tasuki). The event starts from 4 locations within Nakano Ward, passes through venues like the Orange Cafe, and ultimately aims for the Nakano Ward Office. At Nakanoba on the 1st floor of the ward office, which serves as the goal point, dementia-related exhibits, hands-on activities, and an event celebrating the finish will be held. Furthermore, various experience and exhibition booths related to dementia and health will be set up, open for anyone to participate freely. Through this event, it will provide an opportunity to deepen understanding of dementia and foster warm connections across the entire community.
