About this event

Held every autumn in Kita Ward, Tokyo, the 'Furusato Kita City Residents' Festival' is one of the largest events in the ward, aiming to promote local industry and culture and realize the concept of 'Hometown Kita Ward'. It is organized by the Kita Ward Federation of Neighborhood Associations and the Kita Ward Youth District Committee, and operated by numerous volunteers. Various events that highlight local characteristics will unfold across three venues: the Oji Venue (Asukayama Park), the Akabane Venue (Akabane Park, Akabane Hall, Akabane Elementary School), and the Takinogawa Venue (Takinogawa Park, Takinogawa Gymnasium). At each venue, visitors can enjoy stage events such as singing, dancing, and hero shows, as well as food stalls, regional specialty fairs, and flea markets. In particular, the Oji Venue will feature 'S-GATE', an enchanting night stage blending art and entertainment under the moonlight. It is an attractive event that everyone from children to the elderly can enjoy.
