About this event

The "2nd Jinpachi Festival (Jinyasai)" will be held in front of the Midori-no-Madoguchi ticket office at Hachioji Station. Aimed at regional revitalization and agricultural promotion in Hachioji City, this event is an evolution of the "Yasai Matsuri" previously held at Hachioji Station. Centered on fresh vegetables harvested from fields in Hachioji City, a variety of attractive local products will be sold, including specialty craft gin from Tokyo Hachioji Distillery, merchandise for boxer Jin Sasaki from Hachioji Nakaya Boxing Gym, souvenirs from Roadside Station Hachioji Takiyama (Michi-no-Eki Hachioji Takiyama), Hachioji Melonpan, local products from Mogumogu Land, and steamed soup dumplings from Jinhua. In particular, it is also positioned as a regional revitalization event to support professional boxer Jin Sasaki, a Hachioji native, sending cheers alongside local bounty to Sasaki as he takes on the world in the Welterweight 3-Crown Unification Bout to be held on Monday (public holiday), September 21, 2026. The event is divided into multiple periods: vegetable sales on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6; craft gin sales from Tuesday, September 8 to Thursday, September 10; Roadside Station Hachioji Takiyama sales on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13; Hachioji Melonpan sales from Wednesday, September 16 to Friday, September 18; Mogumogu Land sales on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20; and Jinhua steamed soup dumpling sales from Monday (public holiday), September 21 to Wednesday (public holiday), September 23. The event logo expresses the festival held at JR Hachioji Station and the bonds connecting various people in a "circle", overlapping G and J because products related to Gin and Jin will be sold. It is expressed as a coined word combining Gin, Jin, the "Hachi" (eight) of Hachioji, and "Sai/Matsuri" carrying the meaning of "Yasai Matsuri", with the red and blue colors inspired by boxing, and JR East expressed in green.
