Japanese name:KOMA WORLD CUP
📅 Sat, Oct 31, 2026 - Sun, Nov 1, 2026
About this event
Over the two days from Saturday, October 31 to Sunday, November 1, 2026, the "KOMA WORLD CUP" will be held at "Tokyo Tama Mirai Messe" in Hachioji, Tokyo. This event is themed around the traditional Japanese spinning top toy "koma"; it began in 2023 and marks its 3rd edition this year. This year, the "World Spintop Contest," which determines the world's best player for the first time in 3 years, will be held concurrently, bringing together highly skilled top performers from countries worldwide, including the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, France, and Uruguay. On the first day, the "Ooruri Cup" will take place, where competitors combine tricks using designated tops, and on the second day, the world champion will be decided in a freestyle contest where performers use any top of their choice choreographed to music. Even for those not competing, world-class performances that overturn the conventional image of spinning tops can be seen up close. The venue will feature many spinning top-related activities, including hands-on booths that beginners can enjoy and top sales booths. In addition, at the adjacent "Hachioji Ekimae Terrace," top trial sessions and trial corners for various skill sports other than tops will also be held. This winter, let's get excited together with players from around the world in Hachioji using "koma" as a tool.
