The "52nd Kanazawa Festival Fireworks Display," a summer tradition in Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama City, will be held at Umi no Koen on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Approximately 3,500 colorful fireworks will be launched into the Yokohama night sky from the sea surrounded by Hakkejima, Umi no Koen, and Nojima. The event is packed with highlights, including consecutive bursts of various starmines, "Botan-chan Fireworks" featuring the Kanazawa Ward mascot character, and "Celebration Fireworks" expressing festivities. Food and game stalls will be open from 12:00 on the day, and fireworks launching is scheduled from 19:00 to 20:00. Viewing is free of charge, and visitors can enjoy the fireworks from the sandy beach and the lawn areas inside the park.
