Held in Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, the 'Shiroyama Summer Festival' is a summer festival of Kawajiri Hachimangu Shrine, which boasts history and tradition. The procession of mikoshi (portable shrines) and dashi (floats) parading through the district allows visitors to feel the energy of the local community. Selected as one of the '50 Best Festivals of Kanagawa,' it has become a popular summer tradition that captivates many people. On the day, the festival is held from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with festival excitement reaching its peak particularly from 4:00 PM on Sunday. With Kawajiri Hachimangu Shrine and the Shiroyama area as its venue, local residents and visitors unite to enliven the festival.
