About this event

This autumn festival is held at Hattori Shrine, located in Yamashiro Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The highlight of the festival is the Great Lion (O-shishi) parading through the town after performing a dedicatory dance on the shrine grounds. In addition, the Urayasu dance praying for peace is dedicated at the shrine pavilion, celebrating gratitude for a bountiful harvest. Please note that traffic restrictions may be in place on surrounding roads during the festival. This festival is a valuable opportunity to experience local tradition and culture, drawing many visitors.
