44th Sannichi YBS Fujiyoshida Fire Festival Road Race

Running through magnificent nature embraced by Mount Fuji, the '44th Sannichi YBS Fujiyoshida Fire Festival Road Race' will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Fuji Hokuroku Park / Fujisan GX Stadium in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Race categories include a half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and a 2.5 km race for elementary and junior high school students. Participants can run at their own pace while taking in the grand scenery of Mount Fuji, Japan's highest peak. On the day of the event, parking lots open early in the morning, followed by check-in and the opening ceremony, with races starting from 9:30 AM beginning with the half marathon. The half marathon has a checkpoint cutoff at the 14.9 km mark at 11:45 AM, with the final race closing time set for 12:30 PM. Participants will receive an original T-shirt as a participation prize, and half marathon finishers will be awarded medals. The event is open to participants from Japan and abroad, with entry fees varying by category. Traffic restrictions will be in effect on the day of the race, so the use of public transportation or carpooling is recommended. Participant records will be published in the Yamanashi Nichinichi Shimbun at a later date, and individual certificate records can be downloaded from the event website.
