Held at the foot of UNESCO World Heritage site "Mt. Fuji" around Lake Kawaguchi, the music festival "Mt. Fuji Kawaguchiko Piano Festival 2026" unfolds across venues centered around Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater, as well as Kawaguchiko Circular Hall, Kawaguchiko General Park, and Kawaguchiko Museum of Art. Welcoming world-renowned pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii as this year's Artist-in-Residence, the festival delivers a gem-like musical experience over four days from Saturday, September 19 to Tuesday, September 22 (national holiday), 2026. At Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater, a diverse program is planned, including a special recital by Nobuyuki Tsujii, special duos bringing together a star-studded lineup of artists such as Fumiaki Miura (violin), Kazune Shimizu (piano), Ayako Takagi (flute), Momo Kodama (piano), and Hayato Kodama (trumpet), along with a dream collaboration with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. At Kawaguchiko Circular Hall, premium recitals and premium LIVE performances limited to 100 people will be held, allowing audiences to savor the artists' performances up close. In addition, free picnic concerts at Kawaguchiko General Park and museum concerts at Kawaguchiko Museum of Art are organized, providing opportunities for a wide range of audiences to enjoy music. It will be a special four days wrapped in beautiful piano tones harmonizing with magnificent nature.
