2026 Zenkoji Omotesando Autumn Festival

The "2026 Zenkoji Omotesando Autumn Festival", an annual autumn event where Zenkoji Omotesando (Chuo-dori) in central Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, becomes a pedestrian zone from the Nittamachi intersection to the Daimon Minami intersection, will be held. On the day, various events will be held simultaneously throughout the Zenkoji Omotesando area, creating a lively atmosphere. Town mikoshi (portable shrine) processions divided into the I-gumi and Ro-gumi groups, as well as a diverse range of performances, will unfold. Concurrently held events include the "Sanriku Ofunato Pacific Saury Festival" where you can enjoy charcoal-grilled Pacific saury sent directly from Ofunato in Sanriku, the "Nagano Prefecture Cooperative Festival" featuring exhibitions, sales, and hands-on experiences of Nagano-produced goods, the "Nagano 100-Year Food Autumn Festival" themed around Nagano City's flour-based dishes and local sake, the "Fukushima Joban Big Catch Market" lined with processed marine products from Fukushima, and "Truck Day" featuring discounted sales of directly sourced vegetables and fruits and musical performances on a truck stage. In addition, a shopping voucher giveaway sale is also conducted during the event period, where lottery tickets are given for purchases of 1,000 yen or more at participating shops, with the lottery taking place on the day of the event.
