The Shirouma Music Festival, where children and adults from Hakuba Village and Otari Village gather to enjoy music together, will be held lively again this year. Free of charge, this music festival marks its 29th edition and is a community-rooted event where residents of Hakuba Village and Otari Village play the leading roles. Showing the everyday living side of Hakuba rather than its tourist destination side, many children perform, and you can enjoy music in a warm, friendly atmosphere. In mid-October, autumn foliage descends down to the village in Hakuba, making it recommended to enjoy a stroll around the village alongside the music festival.
