The film being screened is "I Am Living in Two Worlds" (Boku ga Ikiteru, Futatsu no Sekai), which depicts the growth and struggles of a boy born to deaf parents in a small port town in Miyagi Prefecture. The story portrays how the protagonist feels bewildered by being treated as special by those around him, finds even his mother's brightness bothersome, and eventually leaves for Tokyo with unresolved feelings. Through this screening, the town aims to create a community where all residents, with or without disabilities, can live safely while respecting each other's personality and individuality.
