Yuzen Shrine Autumn Annual Festival

At Yuzen Shrine in Atami City, the Autumn Annual Festival will be held to give thanks for the hot springs and pray for the further prosperity of Atami Onsen. On Saturday, October 3, the Yoimiya ritual will be held, and on Sunday, October 4, the Miya Mikoshi (main portable shrine) procession will take place. Departing from Yuzen Shrine, the Miya Mikoshi will parade along a route passing through the one-way Itokawa direction, Imai Photo Studio, in front of the fire station, Honmachi Street, and Handy Home Center, proceeding through Ginza Street before returning to Yuzen Shrine. This year, the Waka-Jishikai Mikoshi is also scheduled to accompany the Miya Mikoshi. Furthermore, on Sunday, October 4, the Hot Water Drawing Ritual at Oyu Geyser and the Hot Water Offering Ritual at Yuzen Shrine will be conducted. This annual festival is a traditional celebration offering gratitude for the blessings of Atami's hot springs and praying for their perpetuity and local prosperity.
