Imamiya Shrine Annual Grand Festival (2026)
Japanese name:今宮神社例大祭（2026）
📅 Mon, Oct 19, 2026 - Tue, Oct 20, 2026
About this event
Every year on October 19 and 20, the Annual Grand Festival of Ebisu Shrine / Imamiya Shrine, the guardian deity of the western Atami district, is grandly held. This festival is a traditional Shinto ritual deeply rooted in the local community and attracts many worshippers. On both days of the grand festival, night stalls line up within the shrine grounds and along the pedestrian zone in front of the shrine, further enlivening the festival atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy local flavors and feel the vibrancy of the festival. Although the "Mikoshi Parade" is canceled this year as well, the grand festival itself is scheduled to be held as usual. If you visit Atami, please be sure to stop by this traditional festival.
