Hidamari Agricultural Experience: "Challenge Rice Harvesting and Threshing!"

This is an experiential event where you can try rice harvesting and threshing using traditional methods in a paddy field near the old folk house "Hidamari." Harvesting rice by hand provides a valuable opportunity to deepen your connection with nature. Furthermore, by using a traditional foot-pedal threshing machine, you can experience the wisdom and techniques of historical farming that are rarely encountered today. A delicious lunch made with local ingredients will be provided after the experience, allowing you to enjoy the local food culture while sharing the joy of harvest. The capacity is 40 participants, and a lottery will be held if applications exceed capacity. Advance registration via the website of the Hilly and Mountainous Areas Revitalization Promotion Division is required.
