2026 (Reiwa 8) Ise Festival

According to information on the official website of Ise City, the "2026 (Reiwa 8) Ise Festival" will be held on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event hours are from 9:40 AM to 9:00 PM on the 10th, and from 9:40 AM to 5:00 PM on the 11th. The festival covers a wide area stretching from around the Takayanagi Shopping Street via the Toba-Matsusaka Prefectural Road (Ichinoki Intersection) to the area around Ise-shi Station. Organized by an executive committee of volunteer citizens, the festival aims for citizens to "watch, participate, and enjoy." In the parade, marching, dancing, and mikoshi (portable shrines) proceed along the prefectural road for about 600 meters, coloring the venue vibrantly. In addition, musical instrument performances, singing, dancing, and Yosakoi will be held at the event plazas at Ichinoki and Amatsuji Intersections to liven up the venue. Furthermore, exhibition and vendor booths selling local products and introducing activities are staple highlights of the festival. The event will proceed rain or shine, but may be canceled in the event of a storm warning or similar conditions. It is organized by the Ise Festival Executive Committee and supported by Ise City and other entities.
