About this event

August 28, 2026 (Friday) is the full moon. Falling in the seventh month of the lunar calendar and known as the full moon of Hazuki, this night marks a turning point past Risshu (beginning of autumn) when one starts to feel the cool breeze of early autumn. As a conclusion to the summer vacation, the monthly "Full Moon Event" will be held at Itsuki Chaya and Take Shrine. At Itsuki Chaya, full moon fortune-telling will take place from 10:00 to 17:00 at 2,200 yen for 20 minutes (1,100 yen for every additional 10 minutes). In addition, from 17:00 to 20:00 (L.O. 19:30), the "Itsuki Izakaya x Full Moon Food Stall" will appear, featuring full-moon-exclusive takoyaki, dishes incorporating autumn flavors, and cold beer. At Take Shrine, the "Full Moon Pilgrimage" will be held from 10:00 to 20:00, where special September-exclusive full moon goshuin (shrine stamps) will be distributed. From around dusk until around 20:00, visitors can also enjoy a mystical light-up of the hanachozu (flower water basin) (cancelled in case of rain). Furthermore, in the square in front of Take Shrine, the "Moon Market" with food trucks and festival stalls will be held from 17:00 to 20:00, creating a lively night. Please enjoy a pleasant late-summer night under the full moon along with special experiences.
