The 44th Iga Ware Pottery Festival, held in Iga City, Mie Prefecture, will take place for three days from Saturday, September 19 to Monday, September 21, 2026 at Ayama Daiichi Athletic Park 'Spark Ayama.' 30 booths including Iga ware kilns will exhibit at the venue, bringing together a wide variety of Iga pottery, from simple wares perfect for everyday use to artisanal pieces showcasing the creators' individuality. Visitors can look forward to discovering special tableware that fits comfortably in the hand with each use and adds warmth to daily life. In addition, many popular food trucks will be on site each year, allowing guests to enjoy delicious gourmet food alongside pottery selection. Various events are planned during the period, including an opening ceremony, Iganinja Hakuho, Iga☆Guri-o-kun, a performance by Ueno High School Brass Band, and Iga ware video production, panel displays, and ceramic art exhibitions by Sakuragaoka Junior and Senior High School, with local high school students bringing excitement to Iga ware.
