The 'Mie Tabika Bon Odori' will be held on August 22, 2026, at Happo Sports Park in Tabi, Komono Town, Mie Prefecture. Started in 2023 to recreate a scene from the movie 'Torakku Yaro' (Truck Guys), this event is becoming established as a summer tradition where dekotora (decorated trucks) gather from all over Japan. Dekotora adorned with flashy illustrations and vivid lights surround the yagura scaffold tower, gathering local residents and decorated truck enthusiasts. Last year, it became a large-scale event with more than 160 dekotora gathering and over 5,000 visitors. The market 'Kimagure Festa' will be held concurrently, where visitors can enjoy food trucks, workshops, and more. The Bon Odori dance will take place from 18:30 to 21:30, with the venue clearing out completely at 22:00. Dekotora entry is invitation-only, but visitors can also arrive by passenger car. Drunk driving and bringing pets are prohibited, and everyone must take their trash home. Please note that parking is restricted for modified cars and low-clearance vehicles.
