The 40th Fire Engine Sketching Contest

About this event

In front of the Komono Town Fire Station building, the "40th Fire Engine Sketching Contest" will be held to give children a chance to familiarize themselves with firefighting vehicles and deepen their interest in fire prevention. Pump trucks, rescue trucks, ladder trucks, ambulances, and more will be lined up at the venue, allowing participants to freely sketch while viewing the fire engines up close. At the event, all participants will receive a participation prize, and the grand prize-winning work will have the special privilege of being featured in the "2027 (Reiwa 9) Fire Prevention Calendar." Works will be exhibited at the Komono Town Cultural Festival in November, as well as during the autumn and spring fire prevention campaign periods. Drawing paper will be provided by the organizer, so anyone can easily participate simply by bringing their own drawing materials. Even if you cannot come to the venue on the day, you can submit artwork created at home referencing photos on the website. In case of rain, it will be postponed, and the decision on holding or postponing will be announced on the disaster prevention radio on the day.
