About this event
The special exhibition "Rekihaku Nostalgia: Illustrated Vehicle Guide" held at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History introduces the transition of modern transportation and vehicles that appeared in the Meiji period, centering on nishiki-e (woodblock prints) and tin toys. Materials on the Himeji Monorail, which opened 60 years ago, are also on display, allowing you to learn about the state of cutting-edge transportation at that time. Furthermore, through the works of vehicle illustrator Kodai Inoue, you can also enjoy the lively appearance of trains and buses active mainly in the Kansai area. In the workshops, you can enjoy experiences such as "Let's Make Doctor Yellow," "Let's Make Trains and Buses with Paper Craft," and "Let's Make a Car with Gacha Capsules," offering the joy of making original trains and cars.
