Tsukiyomikai: Recitation Opera Princess Kaguya

In 2026, the once-a-year special night event "Tsukiyomikai" will be held at "Okaden" inside Onaka Park in Yamatotakada City. In a magical setting where you can feel the Mahoroba earth and vast skies from the twilight of Mt. Futagami, the Noh stage "Okaden" floating on a pond illuminated by firewood will host music and songs dedicated to the moon deity, as well as the recitation opera "Princess Kaguya." Although held for the first time last year, it drew approximately 800 attendees, and this year will deliver an even further elevated performance. Doors open at 5:00 PM, and for about an hour before the show begins, attendees can enjoy food and drinks provided by three local restaurants. Visitors wearing yukata are also warmly welcomed, making it an ideal event for spending a long autumn night with family and friends.
