Kashiba Walk 2026: Touring the Autumn-Hued Kinki Nature Trail and History

About this event
A walking event where you can visit Kashiba's rich nature and historic cultural properties while fully enjoying autumn scenery. The roughly 9 km course starts at Kintetsu Osaka Line Sekiya Station, passes through Sekiya Hachiman Shrine, Shizumi Shrine, Emperor Buretsu's Mausoleum, Hirano Tsukaanayama Tumulus, Tanda no Tsubaki (Camellia of Tanda), and the Kinki Nature Trail, passes Hatao Pond, and returns to Sekiya Station. In conjunction with the event, the stone chamber interior of the historic Hirano Tsukaanayama Tumulus, which is usually closed to the public, will be specially opened. Finishers will receive special miso soup made with the local specialty 'Kashiba Kaoru Miso' (first 300 people) and a 'Cassie Towel' (first 500 people). Registration takes place in the morning on the day of the event, with participants departing on a rolling basis. Wearing easy-to-move-in clothing and athletic shoes is recommended.
