Sports Experience Event: Aridagawa Sports EXPO

About this event

This special sports experience event brings together sports organizations that run classes for elementary school students in Aridagawa Town. No participation fee or advance registration is required, making it easy to try out various sports. Held mainly at Aridagawa Municipal Kibi Junior High School, the event offers soccer and hockey on the turf field, soft tennis on the tennis courts, and baseball on the dirt field. Indoors at the budokan (martial arts hall), participants can experience judo, karate, Shorinji Kempo, and kendo, while volleyball, mini-basketball, and dodgeball can be played at the gymnasium. In case of rain, outdoor sports will move to the Fujinami Elementary School gymnasium, while indoor sports will proceed as scheduled. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring indoor gym shoes. A sticker rally will be held during the event, where collecting stickers for each sport tried earns a participation prize. Those who experience all sports will enter a double-chance draw to win rice (5 kg). Additionally, local town specialties will be awarded by lottery to selected participants who complete an online questionnaire. The event is open to preschoolers, elementary school students, and their guardians, including residents from outside Aridagawa Town.
