About this event

Held in Arida City, Wakayama Prefecture in conjunction with the traditional 'Kibun Festival,' the 'Kibun Festival: Aritagawa Cinema Camp' is a special event combining outdoor movie screening with auto-camping, featuring a giant screen set up on the Arita River dry riverbed. Held from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, participants stay at campsites where cars can be parked alongside, and at night, the musical film 'Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile' is screened on a 4-meter-wide, 7-meter-high screen. During the day, hands-on activities such as wood chopping, fire making, campfires, and roasted marshmallows can be enjoyed free of charge, allowing beginners and families to easily enjoy the outdoors. Furthermore, all participants receive a free hot spring ticket to Aritagawa Onsen Hikari no Yu located in front of the venue, warming up their bodies at the end of the outdoor experience. Tent and sleeping bag rentals are also available, making it possible to participate empty-handed. This event is an opportunity to fully experience the charm of the Arita River, enjoying traditional local festival culture, a new outdoor experience in nature, and hot spring bathing all at once.
