15th Chizu-shuku Haikara Market

The "Chizu-shuku Haikara Market," where visitors can fully enjoy a retro atmosphere from the Taisho and early Showa periods, will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, around the Ishitani Residence in Chizu-shuku. In the "Haikara-san Contest," participants in costumes inspired by the Taisho and early Showa eras will compete with their charm. A wide variety of attractions are scheduled, including a nostalgic vintage car parade and exhibition, live cover performances of classic songs, food stalls, and traditional candy shops. With delicious local specialties and exciting, stylish retro goods lined up, it is the perfect occasion to stroll through the charming old streets of Chizu-shuku while feeling the Taisho Roman vibe. As a concurrent event, "Wanko Festa in Chizu" will also be held at a special venue on the Townspeople's Sports Ground. Additionally, the first 30 passengers using the Chizu Line will receive a 500 yen shopping voucher gift (must be redeemed at the Chizu Station ticket gate).
