About this event
Held in Ino Town, Kochi Prefecture, the '13th Kochi International Triennial Exhibition of Prints' is an open international competition planned with the hope of further developing Tosa Washi (traditional Japanese paper with over a thousand years of history) and printmaking culture. The theme of the 13th exhibition is 'Resonating Prints and Tosa Washi'. Through Tosa Washi-related events and introductions to the paper industry rooted in the region, the event communicates the charm of the production area along with printmaking. Many works were submitted from Japan and abroad, and a total of 62 exquisite print works carefully selected by judges—19 winning works and 43 accepted works—will be displayed. From first-time visitors to families, everyone can enjoy the appeal of prints and Tosa Washi at the venue. Held once every three years, this exhibition is highly acclaimed domestically and internationally as an open exhibition that professionals also enter.
